One of my pet peeves is the prevalent belief that my time is more important than your time.

I guess from the ego point of view that is true, but in all real world relationships a bit more give and take is required.

My time is important to me, your time is important to you, out of mutual respect lets be as efficient as we can in the use of that time.

Simplistic perhaps, but apply the principle when you are over whelmed by volume or options - respect time.
